Wolf Cub Scout

Alex earned his Wolf badge at cubscouts last night. They have a tradition of painting a wolf paw on each boy's cheek to recognize the advancement. He was so proud of the paw that he wouldn't take a shower that night and slept with it on.

Oliver was good at the Pack meeting and didn't lose it until I had to do drive through visiting teaching interviews in the parking lot. It is a great idea. The Relief society presidency were all waiting in their cars and they would hop in our cars or we would hop in theirs. In and out in 15 min. Kind of like fast food. They even gave us cookies. They did it on Tuesday night which is cub scouts, achievement day activities and Young men/young womens. One stop shopping. But it made for a long evening and Oliver cried the whole way home. But he did sleep 7 hrs straight so he made up for it.

Shopping for boots! We got such a deal from Bass. They were half off!

I love the sides! They are adorable!

Very Very cute with my jeans.

This reminds me of a witch. I bought them because of the buttons mostly. I couldn't resist!

I can't get over these awsome socks! Even my mom got some . But they are not long.

Butterfly Pavillion

We went to the pavillion last week. Alex is off track. We also went to the wildlife experience. It is alot like Thanksgiving Point. He has enjoyed his time off and he loves staying up late and sleeping in when Daniel and Leah can't.

They have a life size spider web for kids to see what it feels like to be a spider. Needless to say this was right up Alex's alley.

Homecoming 2008

A few weeks ago Daniel asked his girlfriend Lexie Lyon to the Homecoming dance. He had a young men's activity at her house and he asked his parents if he could leave his invitation on her bed. He left a purple teddy bear holding the invitation in one arm and a rose in the other arm. He then left rose petals scattered on her bed. He was a bit concerned when she didn't answer any of his text messages that evening. The next morning when he came out of seminary he found the truck covered in oreo cookies. She had spelled the word "YES" with oreos. He had a great day!

The dance was this past Saturday night. They went with two other couples from the ward. They spent the whole day together. They went to the Parker Family Fair to watch Lexie perform. She sings and plays the guitar. Then they had lunch at Lexie's house and then came to our house for a movie. Then they parted company to get dressed. To save money the Mom's and Dad's fixed a nice dinner and served it to the kids at Tanner's house. It wasn't a regular dinner. Sister Hill had the idea to serve a mystery dinner. She prepared menus with ridiculous names for all of the food we fixed. The menu included all the food and utensils to be served in four courses. It was an absolute blast! The kids loved it and said it was definately a highlight of the evening. Daniel's first course was hilarious! He unknowingly ordered a knife, toothpick, napkin and olive.

After the dinner the kids went to the dance. The dances here aren't Utah dances. The dancing is a bit gross, so they stayed for only 45 min. After the dance they went to the hotel that Blake's family is staying at. They just moved here from St. George, UT and are waiting for their house to close. His parents got permission from the hotel management for the kids to have the pool until midnight. His parents also served everyone rootbeer floats. They had a fabulous day!
